Bloc Opanez

The main challenge of this project was creating an integrated building with 3 apartments on a narrow lot. Not being able to provide a generous common garden, the projects aim was generating 3 apartments that feel like a house within a house, each with exterior space and intimacy within the 2 floors permitted by the local urban regulations. One apartment has direct access from the exterior through the English courtyard situated at the underground level, while a second unit occupies the entire first floor with its living area. Finally, the third apartment is situated at the attic level, having a generous terrace with beautiful views. The project envisioned the idea of 3 homes within a house, so the architecture speaks of a familiar, intimate design, with playful materials and colours.
