The Veron shop is located in a former garage of a central building owned by the clients’ family since its completion. Due to degradation the garage remained unused for decades. The client sought to revitalize the unused space by converting it into a small boutique for accessories and fashion items. The challenge was to create a contemporary identity for a small shop that, although street-facing, was not visible to passersby, as it is located in the basement level.
This project beggins as an addition to an existing house from a typical suburban rezidential area from the north outskirts of Bucharest. The current proposal starts from the need to reconcile the exterior with the interior, a protected space that comprises a careless function, a summer kitchen
“Mugshot is a specialty coffee and fine drinks café located in the Icoanei-Ioanid area of Bucharest. Through its imagined spatial experience, the café aims to activate the neighborhood and the community. In this way, ‘Mugshot at DJ Superstore’ joins other businesses in the area and contributes to promoting a vibrant part of the city and strengthening small, local commerce.”
Diploma Show is an important cultural event that takes place every autumn in Bucharest. The main theme is the exhibition of diploma projects made by the new generation of artists, architects and designers, in this case the 2023 promotion graduates . The challenge of the exhibition design was all the greater as the 2023 edition celebrated its 10-year anniversary. The exhibition-event took place at ‚Combinatul Fondului Plastic’, a space composed of several multifunctional buildings that belong to the Union of Romanian Artists.
The brief for the Kaufland office space design was to create a friendly, almost homey atmosphere, where texture and materials form a laidback working experience for a team that feels like family. The pastel colours selected for the individual working units work together with plants, wood and textured wall plaster, to create an intimate working environment.
The main challenge of this project was creating an integrated building with 3 apartments on a narrow lot. Not being able to provide a generous common garden, the projects aim was generating 3 apartments that feel like a house within a house, each with exterior space and intimacy within the 2 floors permitted by the local urban regulations.
This contemporary residential project embodies an elegant fusion of organic curves and modern minimalism. The fluid lines of the façade soften the structure’s bold geometry, while the use of natural wood accents and large windows invites warmth and light into the space. The building’s terraces and balconies are seamlessly integrated with lush greenery, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.
The story behind Sector 1 Art Gallery starts with the desire of a special person, Andreea Stănculeanu, to bring into the spotlight contemporary artists from the west of Romania. When you add up a smooth collaboration between architect and client, the project becomes beautiful through its simplicity.
The theme was to have a flexible space that would become a background for future exhibitions. The gallery is situated in a fervid space, Combinatul Fondului Plastic, Bucharest.
The main challenge of this project was creating a home suited for a family of 5, while maintaining the urban parameters of the area. In order to respect the neighbouring house, the floor is detached from the plots limit, thus creating a dynamic volume that facilitates light access to both properties. In order to create an intimate space for the family, a generous English courtyard was proposed for the underground level.
This contemporary countryside house blends modern design with natural elements to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The façade is characterized by vertical wooden slats that add texture and warmth, while large windows bring in natural light. The outdoor area features a charming pergola with hanging hammock chairs arranged around a central fire pit, fostering a relaxed, communal vibe.
This modern residence draws from Scandinavian design principles, combining simplicity with natural textures. The clean, white gabled roof contrasts beautifully with the warm, wooden façade, while black-framed windows and doors add a bold, contemporary edge. A cozy seating area near a neatly stacked woodpile enhances the rustic charm, inviting relaxation. Surrounded by a thoughtfully landscaped garden, the house balances sleek architectural lines with organic elements, creating a harmonious blend of modern living and natural beauty.
This compact, modern cabin features a minimalist design with clean geometric lines and a striking monochrome palette. The stark white façade is contrasted by a matte black metal roof and side cladding, giving the structure a bold yet elegant character. Large windows flood the interior with natural light while connecting the space to its serene outdoor surroundings.
